Dialogues with the Dead, work in progress

I’m working on this with Teenie Watson. Both of us lost a parent when we were young, leading both of us independently into curiosity about grief and loss. In this project we’re exploring how you go beyond memorialisation of people, places, things that are gone, and actively grow relationships with them. We’re currently interviewing artists who are using creative practice to build this type of relationship and hoping to turn it into a book. But it might be a slow burn…

Some graffiti near the house where I grew up with my dads name. I spotted it right after a big emotional conversation about him where a few things clicked into place. Felt like a sign.
